At a the last meeting of friends of parks and trails September 16 2004 a motion was passed to distribute the club newsletter via the Internet to those persons who wished it. This action would save the club a considerable amount in postage. The money saved can than be applied to other club projects. It was stressed that club members would have the option to "opt in" to thre email distribution.

This letter of introduction is to provide members with that option. The email addressed will not sold, or distributed to any third party and will remain private. The email formum is provided at no cost to the club but is a community service by Virtual Communities (an enterprise of Sharpwit Web Consultants).

Each member has
1) a choice to receive the letter via email thereby saving the club money. The choice is to "opt in" or "opt out"
2) If the member chooses to opt in than one more choice needs to be made: do you wish your newsletter to be delivered as HTML (therby closely resembling the printed version) or plain text (no text or picture format)?
